why did I learn to meditate and how it is so profound ?

Do you know that sitting and doing nothing is the most simplest forms of meditation, but the crudest way ?. You would have tried to sit down and do nothing, all of the sudden your unpaid bills, unanswered emails and unresolved issues just pop up and your mind is very much busy processing all of those things. Your body gets so restless that within 10-15mins you cant just sit still and wanted to move. This was where i was some years back. Now, i can mediated for like 30-45 mins without disturbance and there is just waves after waves of deep peace and bliss flowing towards me as i sink deeper into meditation. What happened in between those phases is where my greatest journey lies.

I like to do online research and listen to stuffs that is making lot of noise online. I initially tried the breath observation and chanting a single mantra. It was terribly hard to go deeper with this techniques, because our life force is going outward in a very powerful way, it doesn't like to go inward when we sit in meditation. Its has been trained that way, from school, home to be aware of surroundings and to focus outwards. How can it change all of a sudden when you sit for meditation. That's why having a consistent routine is necessary. It is really hard to insist the importance of keeping a schedule for your meditation, even if its just 5 mins daily at a specific place and specific time.

Then, after you can establish the consistency, the techniques and devotion to the divine is necessary to keep your meditative practice of high effectiveness. So, I was just in search those for many years and was so desperate in finding and using them. I have read books on kriya yoga "Science of life force" by Swami Nithyananda Giri. So, all of the secrets is in effective manipulation of your life force.  The techniques that's described in this books go from the simple to the most advanced that is taught with strict secrecy in many meditation centers.

There was some emotional turbulence in my life sometime back, that i was forced to find a place to freely meditate outside of my home and workplace. As the known place, people just adds fuel to the emotional turbulence and not reduce it. I live in Chennai, so i just googled and searched for a place to just peacefully meditate. After few hunting down, i found a center called "Ananda Chennai". It is built by the follower of Paramahansa Yoganada. They are spread all around the world. Since, i was a fan of him from high-school, having read many of his books "Divine Romance" and "How to be always happy". I just went to the Ananda Chennai and they have a temple with line of masters pictures. I just sat and meditated for an hour, i could just soak in the peace and serenity that the ambience emanated. Its just the accumulation of peoples vibrations meditating there for like 7 years, since the inception of it.

Then after some enquir, i found out that they were offering courses on meditations like level 1 to 4. You have to finish prerequisite to attend the next level. You can check the details in their ananda chennai website. I attended one level after another, it took around a year to complete all the levels. The techniques they teach is so simple and profound like the energization, Hong Sau, AUM technique, Maha-Mudra and Kriya Breathing. All these techniques directly act on the life force to gain more awareness and to manipulate it to meditate on the divine with ease. I was so grateful to end up there and the people who runs the place is so kind and supportive during the meditative learning and practicing phase and to over come difficulty all the way on the path. Now, after going through it all, i can experience so much more of peace and bliss during my daily meditation practices. What do you think about all this ? Please do share your experiences in the comments.

how to hack our mind to do difficult things ?

Getting up early in the morning is a difficult thing for me. I keep an alarm, when it goes of like many i just switch it off and go back to sleep. I then was keeping two, three alarms, nothing really worked. Then, i started to break the action of getting up. It was like a huge inertia to move my 70kg body out of the bed into the living room. So, I started to hack my mind and would like to just wiggle my toes. Then gradually move one leg away from the bed towards the floor, followed by the other leg. I just didnt tell my mind to get up out of the bed which is a big task, i am just asking it to do series of small task that lead to that. Then, roll my body to the side, keep my hands for support and then get up. Then, take a series of steps towards restroom and splash some water on the face. Then, only mind my comes out of the sleep and really wakes up. It is not difficult to go back to sleep. Yeah i know, this is funny.

But, it is a simple trick that you follow to make your mind to difficult things. When you get the hang of it far more difficult things can be accomplished by you using this. Ever think of how much Elon Musk has accomplished in his life.  He has lot of companies and works like crazy. How can he pull this off? doesn't his mind just shut down ?

I was recently reading his biography and have watched many of his interviews and see some glimpse of him using this method. He breaks down his activities into 5 mins block. The mental resistance to do a 5 mins activity is nothing compared to 5 hour activity. But, you can just line up a series of 5 mins activities as you go and not feel exhausted at the end. You would feel very much energetic. I would keep like a 5 min countdown timer, it feels really great to work, like you are on a exciting hunt or something. I use this clock countdown timer and keep it in separate browser and small in the side, so that the ticking yellow pie is visible. Sometimes, for longer deep work, its distracting, so it can be extended. like in the pomodoro 30 to 50 mins

I always loved to solve a rubiks cube all my life. What i would try is to solve it at once and to learn everything and to do it at once. But life and mind doesn't work that way. Then, i broke down on learning to solve the rubiks cube. I tried solving it layer by layer (the famous CFOP method). There are three layers. So, i spent learning to solve the first layer, then second and finally the third (hardest). After solving the entire cube i was so happy and excited, this is not possible without this incremental learning and series of atomic activities. Then, i found lot of tricks to solve it faster. Initially, it took around 4 hrs to solve it, now it takes just 20mins. The world record is 3-4 seconds. Just imagine how much incrementally they would have acted and won to get to that level.

The feel good factor this breaking big into small chuck of activities gives us immediate sense of accomplishment that we can get by successfully completing each of the 5 mins task. This will keep you motivated to go on and build your momentum till you reach your goal. It is just that getting into the water is difficult, then we will be immersed in work and it just flows. Hope this was useful for you . Please do comment on what situation your would like to use it in your life and be benefited.

How to become emotionally intelligent and resilient ?

The emotional aspect of my life has been always a little wacky here and there with weird quirks in my character. I am introverted and am really focused more on what my mind speaks then what others trying to communicate to me. So, getting things across when things are emotional is difficult. I too went through some depression and also recovered from it like a bouncing ball. One needs emotional intelligence and resilience to go somewhat peacefully, joyfully, to the place we have to go. It needs to be developed bit by bit over a period of a lifetime. This is not taught in the school or collages and the relationships, friends and family is where we spend most of our life with and care about.

There are something that i searched for developing my emotional hearts capacity. When i was in depression, i was searching anonymous online tools to vent my emotions. Things that is hard to tell can be said to a stranger somewhere in the spinning blob called earth and forget about it for time being or slightly reduce the burden in the mind and heart. It gives such a immediate relief to try this. The platform that made it happen for me is 7cups. It is such a simple and profound way to express your emotions with privacy intact. I found a random listener and blabbered to her about all the difficulty and pain i am going through. And this stranger girl (cheerfulPeach - random names were give to users to preserve anonymity and it was funny what names people get) was patiently listening to my emotional ramblings and being empathetic and supportive of what i am going through. It really helped me to come out of depression and the listener is doing it as volunteered service without any financial benefit. This is really great thing one can do for another soul.

I immediately though of returning the favor and am a listener in 7cups platform which can be used both in PC and phone. It was a major emotional ride for me going through the peoples mind through their words like Charles Xavier in the movie X-men. The colossal suffering all the people are going through majorly relationships issues, health, financial stuffs. Listening to them patiently, i developed some of my empathy for others and caring and acknowledging what they are going through. Its been around 3-4 years i am using it on a regular basis and have given anonymous emotional support to 700 people from around the globe.

The emotional intelligence grows when you face tough situation and overcome and learn from it. The people who share their difficulty, there is a lot to learn and grow and help one another well being and grow. No amount of psychological books out there can teach me the things that i learned from using and talking and giving emotional support to others. It is really most gratifying experience of my life. Nowadays due to travel restrictions due to covid, there are lot of people inside their houses getting emotionally not -well. More volunteers are needed to take up and help others. You don't need to give money to help, you can just share some time and caring words. It makes all the difference.

How to manifest more money, wealth and abundance in our life ?

Let me share my journey on this. I have read a lot of mainstream manifestation books on the market including the SECRET. Tried it all and it just didn't work well enough . Most of it is based on wishful thinking and just imaginary correlation based theories and practices not causation based. The real underlying causes and the laws of the universe that makes it to work must be clearly understood. One of such books that i read, that clearly explains it is "Money Magnetism" written by Donald Walters aka Swami Kriyananda. The principles that is explained in the book is so subtle, simple and timeless and a totally different approach to the subject at hand. That is what we all need to learn to make this happen. And before giving you all the brief summary and my own experiences following that book, i would like to give you all a disclaimer. These theories doesn't work to manifest million dollars for your own personal enjoyment, why it doesn't will be explained further down in the article

The first principle of money is that to see it as a form of energy. The more energy you give out, the more energy you get. So, when you need to get more money flow into your life, there has to be a flow of money outflow to others. You have to give others money and donate money for something good and for a cause, to uplift someone. A small percentage of your income, if you can donate it to the poor or the needy. Dont worry, you can spend like 5-10% of your income. That creates the more influx of energy flow into your life as more money, abundance and wealth. What is really the use of the dead money in the bank savings account if it cant help anyone. It is also considered the "Happy Money", its is a concept of spending money for others actually makes us more happier than to spend it for ourselves as researched and stated by Elizabeth Dunn in her book. I personally spend 10% of my income in to NGO's in India like Aksya.Patra which serves mid-day meal to millions of children in India, Goonj which uplifts rural peoples lives, small social efforts in Milaap and those who are in need. So, after doing this my income started getting bigger.

The largest amount of wealth is among the religions which has this principle of tithing, that is of donating money in the name of God. This is just my personal observation on applying above principle to the world.

The second major learning for me is to not try to manifest a specific thing and to be really focused on it till you get it. You must try to manifest the broad purpose or need you have. Like you must not try to manifest a Audi car. The universe may have a Lamborghini for you in store. But, if you are like too much focused on the Audi, you will not get the Lamborghini. So, keep your manifesting wish as broad as possible, like i need a car to travel with comfort and ease. Then, it would surely happen.

The third thing is nearly related to the first principle of seeing money as energy. So, the amount of intensity and concentration you put while asking for the thing you would like to manifest has to be greatest for it to happen quick. You can improve the concentration muscle by practicing regular meditation. People who are very advanced in the path of meditation quickly get what they wish for, it is really scary at times. As, they have to wish for good things.

The final thing is very much important as the above mentioned concepts, You just need to ask at full intensity and concentration and forget about it. It may manifest in a day, month or an year. You may even forget that you asked for it. But it will really happen, it all depends on the energy you put out. You must take physical effort towards it and use your time, effort, energy, skill and talents. It must be given to others like a service instead of being too selfish. You must free up your emotional attachment over the thing you would like to manifest. Sometimes emotions can stop you from manifesting what you really need.

Always add as many people as possible, who would benefit from what you get if you wish for huge things. You see all the great CEO, business owners and corporate leaders can get billions in funds and revenue to run their business because it gives work opportunity to hundreds of thousands employees. It touches so many people positively, that's why they can manifest such huge sums of money. If you can wish goodness for billions and would like to positively uplift billions, you are already a billionaire. Wish good things for the society and the world, the energy you put out comes back to you. It is like a boomerang.

How did I tap into the Hypnogogic state ?

Hello everyone, its been a break since i am getting back onto this blog of my. Its almost 7 years, i forgot that i started this small blog. As i saw the response i am getting, it made to refresh and start to continue on this blog. I will be regularly posting on this blog. Without further adieu. Please do check it out. I would like to share my recent experiences on the hynpogogic state.

It happened accidentally, i had a light lunch and was just sitting on the sofa and doing nothing and there was bright sunlight from the windows. I closed my eyes and tried to pull a little siesta nap. The timing after the lunch is really special to tap into the relaxed yet aware state. I went into light drowsy sleepy state in around 30mins. As i was in the living room of my house, there were family, parents who were moving around and its difficult to sleep deeply. But there was no sound conversations.

Gradually, I was fully aware of drifting into a colorful wonderland of optical illusion and vividly changing colors of light like shown in the above picture. It slowly emerged from the darkness of the closed eyes and became more vivid and vibrant. It is pure energy wave forms colliding and forming interference. Then, i was going deep into the dream landscape, but there is no longer dreams, just little 3-5 seconds episodes that flashes one after the another without any correlation to my conscious mind. But, who knows everything that arises from subconscious has deep meaning and sacredness, that the conscious mind is too dumb to understand.

I researched online more about it. The hypnogogic state is highly hyper-associative. Any creative expressions you see is hyper-associative, that is to connect to unconnected things. This can be useful for all of us. There is a saying “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless yet be determined to make them otherwise." I thing this would get us closer to it.

I tried repeating this experiment in a closed dark room and i went to deep sleep experiencing nothing. So, i guess the things that keep us gently awake, in the first case the sunlight and people moving around, kept me right in between the infinite abyss of sleep and wakeful state. Many famous peoples like Edison and Salvado Dali has tapped into this state for many inventive and artistically creative pursuits.

Nowadays, scientific community is researching more into the consciousness. The MIT media lab has created a glove "DORMIO" which will give us more time to be in this state and dream state. There are even apps to find through our heart rate and rapid eye movement in which state we are in. The future is really going totally awesome in these kind of tech gadgets.

If we can solve problems, find new inventions and everyone can learn and tap into this would be infinitely beneficial to us. I have also been trying lucid dreams. I will write about my experiences in this altered states of consciousness more in the upcoming blogs. Stay tuned. Please do give your comments on what you feel about it  ? if you have access to this states, What would you wish to do ?
