When we go to bath, once the water touches our body all the angels residing in our body flies away. One of the angel "Muthevi Goddess" would be waiting for us to finish the bath. Muthevi has the first preference wherever she goes. So, after bathing , the first place which we clean with the cloth. Muthevi goes there and resides till the next bath. That is the reason why our older generation's will clean their back first and say "Muthevi go to the back !", while cleaning. Our ancestors also left us with the following story in palm manuscript.
All the angels (including Sridevi and Mudevi Goddess) would be residing in our body before we go to bath. As soon as we pour water over our body to bath, the angels go out of our body. After bathing our body, there would be a fight between the angels to whom should go and reside first. To find the solution both sridevi and mudhevi goes to the Brahma for justice. Brahma said that whichever part the person cleans his body with the cloth, Mudhevi has the first preference to go there and reside. Then, it is the Sridevi Goddess turn to to and reside in all other parts.

When water stays on our back for a long time, it starts to cool down the temperature of the spine which results in cold and other unwanted things. But, when we leave wet face for a while the water evaporates and keeps our skin refreshing and beautiful.
Also while drying your face with towel. Don't rub the cloth on the face to make it dry. Just gently press and remove the cloth. By this way all the old lines that appear on the face can be avoided which results in flawless skin.
