My personal experiences with a self-realized saint "Vadapalani Paranjothi Baba"

Many who have came closer to this self-realized saint have said that, they felt like under a tree that gives a cool shade (relief) from the scorching sunlight (constant problems in life). He radiated that much of peace, bliss and blessing to whoever came closer to his proximity. he dissolved all the problems/ailments of the devotees, just by looking at them. He takes the ailment of his devotees and had uncured wound in his legs. He used to wash his legs often denoting the washing of the devotees karma . He used to stand in the streets of Vadapalani Murugan temple, his age estimated to be above 100 years. I was visiting him regularly on a weekly basis from my childhood to around completing my bachelor degree in engineering.

During my early childhood days, i used to go with my dad, who visits him on a regular basis. I always see him taking bath in the vadapalani murugan koil kolam. So, i gave him a nickname "Bathing Grandfather". He doesn't speaks a lot. If he speaks, he speaks so fast that we cannot understand. In my 18 years of visiting him, he has spoken only 2-3 words with me. He speaks and read many languages of the world, even though he had not learnt it anywhere.

 White Butter Biscuit attraction

I was around like 12 of age, on one fine day, i got intense liking for white butter biscuit. It was very sweet so i liked it. I thought that i wanted it intensity and to taste it. That day when we went to get his blessing. He just like that gave me a pack of white butter biscuit. I was like very happy and at the same time was puzzled as to how did he know about my desire to eat this. Then, i said this to my dad and he said that he knows everything, whatever you think or talk within your mind. This incident may seem so silly, but it is my sweet cherished experience with the self-realized saint.

Electrical Power grid

During my visits with him, I have watched many miracles that was happening around this self-realized saint . Once there was a person, who was very arrogant and was discussing with other devotees that how much power does the saint have and talking negatively about him. when the person who was talking down about him,  came to visit him. He called one of his devotees to bring a electrical tester that was used to check AC current. He asked him to bring it closer to his wrist. To everyone's surprise it started glowing. He was like a living electricity grid. The arrogant person realized what he had done wrong and asked the saint for his blessings.

Averted Death

A major miracle that happened to my family because of him is to my father. He usually visits him before going outside home town. He was planning to go for bushiness purpose outside Chennai on a train scheduled at night. He went to get his blessings before leaving the city. The saint asked him to stay with him all night, till my dad missed the train. The next day the news came that the Kanyakumari express collides with the freight train near Salem and 52 were killed, this happened on 14th, May 1995. To my fathers surprise, he thought that if he could stop my father, why not stop the train accident. He later revealed that the railway locopilot was drunk and that couldn't make him stop the accident from happening.

Every time when he looks at me, i just feel so bare and vulnerable. He could just see all of my internal accumulation of thoughts, emotions and desires. In this way, being near him and looking at him. I felt my awareness slightly expanded, all the problems dissolveda and eagerly seeking for more his blessings. He has guided my life when he was alive and even now after attaining samadhi. He is now present as Mahasamadhi in Pal Nallur near Vallam Village (Oragadam-Sriperumbudhur Road). Whenever i visit his Mahasamadhi, i still feel the presence of this sweet saint. There is lot of his devotees who visit him once a year to commemorate his presence there. He will forever be a ray of divine grace that feel on this planet earth to spread peace and to dissolve people's suffering.
